Travelling to Alaska in August brought me a lot of rainy experiences. At Lake Hood I saw an old truck with a lot of rust on the white painted metal surface. This motive was like a metaphor. It was choosen for a Honorable Mention Award at the 2009 Photo Fest on Paseo" by the Paseo Art Association, Juror: Romy Owens, Oklahoma City. Additionally it was shown in exhibition "Your Best Shot -2010" at the RoHo Photo Gallery, Cincinnati, Ohio ("Alaska - Rusty Cloud" exhibited in physical Gallery, online gallery and publication in the book "Your best Shot - 2010" in 2011)
Born in Germany with German and Danish descent, Annekathrin Hansen currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska since 2010. Annekathrin graduated from various art workshops throughout her life. She works in different media, like watercolor-, soft pastel-, oil- and digital painting as well as printmaking, sculpturing, creating mosaics and photography, mixed media. Original artworks by Annekathrin are available in Anchorage, Alaska at International Gallery of Contemporary Art and at Georgia Blue Gallery.
