Artist's Description
This detail caught my eye. It was found near Lake Hood, Anchorage, Alaska on a float of sea plane. The light was just right at the time of the photography. The photo was choosen to be displayed in exhibition "Alaska Photographic Center - Rarefied Light 2013" at IGCA, Anchorage. Additionally it was shown in exhibition "Oklahoma Friendly 2012" (a National Juried Art Show) by the OAG, IAO Gallery, Oklahoma City. It won the Francis Tuttle College Purchase Award in this exhibition.
About Annekathrin Hansen
Born in Germany with German and Danish descent, Annekathrin Hansen currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska since 2010. Annekathrin graduated from various art workshops throughout her life. She works in different media, like watercolor-, soft pastel-, oil- and digital painting as well as printmaking, sculpturing, creating mosaics and photography, mixed media. Original artworks by Annekathrin are available in Anchorage, Alaska at International Gallery of Contemporary Art and at Georgia Blue Gallery.
